How about THIS....

4 points for a win in regulation/OT
3 points for a win in a shootout
2 points for a loss in a shootout
0 points for a loss in regulation/OT

with OT being played 5 on 5. Like God intended.

They say the perfect compromise is one where nobody is happy.

The current "3 point game" system is the perfect compromise between hockey fans and crybabies.

I hope it stays.
