Veteran Goaltender to Philly

Holmgren is obviously preparing this team to go on a massive run this year, and with tremendous depth at the forward position and a very good defense group, the only thing that MAY hinder their run at the cup is a veteran goalie.

Off the top of my head, Giguere is the obvious one and I feel Holmgren will try and acquire him. Another goalie that Holmgren may potentially look at is Vokoun. He will definitely put them over the top, but will be more costly to acquire.

A couple of trade ideas:

To PHI:
G Tomas Vokoun

To FLA:
F Andreas Nodl
D Kevin Marshall
2010 3rd Round Pick (from Pens)

This trade further takes away from an already bare Philly prospect cupboard, but it pretty much cements them for a berth in the Cup finals. How can any team possibly match up to them?

Florida continues the re-build by acquiring a guy who can play in the top-9 forward group, and a steady D prospect who is expected to be a stay-at-home type of guy. They also continue stockpiling picks.

A cheaper alternative would be to look at Giguere who could probably be had for someone like Eric Wellwood (no Kyle jokes here please ) or the 3rd round pick from the Pens.

What do you guys think...
