I can only think of one Dman in the last 11 years, Keaton Ellerby, who was drafted top 10 or higher and failed to make his teams WJC team the following December. The last forwards I can recall were Alex Picard, Derrick Brassard and before them Mike Rupp.

Of course those stats don't prove anything, but they are very interesting nonetheless.
