It does suck. We have never had any success in the lottery, so it doesn't come as a suprise. Still, I was high as a kite when we escaped from being 21-30. Unfortunately, my hope was dashed moments later. After that, I just wanted the remaining Central division teams to picks outside of the top 5. I was especially concerned that Columbus was going to get at least pick #2. That would give them Johnson, at the minimum. This draft has a pathetic crop of Dman after him and that's what they need really, really badly.

The fact that Crosby is out of the Central and out of the West makes me glad. As much as I would love to see him live, I'll be content with watching him on TV. For a moment there, I was worried Vancouver was going to get him. What a nasty offensive lineup.

The one team I could stomach the most was Pittsburgh. My girl is from up there so I'll be making a few trips up there to check him out. I hope to God that they are out of the damned Civic Center soon.
