Unlike a lot of you, I think all he needs to do is grow to about 6 feet and put on 15-20 pounds. I don't see why that's so unreasonable...
I guess I don't see a lot of room for growth in his development. I think if he could bulk up while keeping the same mobility he could be a lasting NHL player. As he is now, I have a hard time seeing him not being a guy who's capable, but ultimately will be passed up over and over for bigger and better. He's had an admirable year, but he's going to need to build other areas of his game significantly due to his size deficiency to not be passed up. I'm not sure we can realistically expect Spurgeon to do that. Would love to see him prove me wrong, but I don't know.
