Some more tidbits about the Nieuwendyk-Iginla trade, which is universally regarded as a win-win trade:
Nieuwendyk was not healthy. He played 442 games in 7 season, or 63 games per season. That's more time missed than Hemsky has averaged.
Nieuwendyk was not a huge scorer. He had 340 points in those 442 games, or .77ppg, a 63 point pace. Hemsky produces CONSIDERABLY more.
Schenn for Hemsky actually looks to favor the Kings a lot more than Nieuwendyk to Dallas did. It's not nearly as ridiculous as some Kings fans think. I don't know if the trade will happen but if it does neither GM should be vilified.
