the 2006 numbers cited above point out the problem.

Its not the "system"

trotzs system, while defensively responsible, also relies on a mean forecheck, and we actually do that quite well and as a result generates offensive zone ice time.

This team gets chances. They just have a bunch of guys who for whatever reason cant put the puck in the net.

in 2006 we had Kariya, a healthy, younger Sully, Arnott, a healthy, unconcussed Dumont, and Radulov.

Say what you will but all of those guys could actually put a puck in the net when given a shot.

The bunch of stonehanded turds we have now all skate well, forecheck well, play defense well, but couldnt score consistently against Brian Finley, much less NHL caliber goalies.
