Update:

I found my email to DT in my YAHOO sent folder with a time stamp:

Date: Sat, 20 Oct 2001 20:04:03 -0700 (PDT)
From: "XXXXXXXXXXX" <XXXXXXXXXXX@yahoo.com> Add to Address Book
Subject: Please, Mr. Taylor, S.O.S.
To: XXXXXXXXX@XXXXXXXXX.com

I re-read the letter and do not want to post it. While written moderately well, it came off as a little bit of a tirade. I will write a new updated one.

I am not sure if Sat Oct 21st was 3 days prior to the deal, but it was within a week. The number of X's is off for all items above, just don't want it printed.

HERE'S A BONUS THOUGH:

In January 2003, I wrote a letter to DT after reading a REDLINE REPORT in which Kyle Woodlief reported the first glowing reports of Andrei Kastsitsyn. Woodlief said very few NHL teams had scouted him. I decided to send off a letter to DT to send him the link from Woodlief's article and asking DT if he and his staff were aware of Kastsitsyn. Here is his reply:

Mr. XXXXXXXX,

Thanks for the note.
I saw Kastsitsyn play in the World Junior tournament a
number of times. As
did our staff. He is a very good prospect and will be
selected high in the
draft. We also have a large number of reports on him
from his league team in
Moscow where he plays.

I appreciate your information but all of the NHL teams
were scouting the
tournament and saw his fine play.

Thanks for the support.

Dave
