This is the thing: Thornton was already pissed off at the B's, then they go and offer him 5 a year. 5 a year is not the starting point of the negotiations, since happenings before the lockout must be considered part of the context between Joe and the B's. And like I said, Thornton is worth it IF ANYONE is. Once again context is important. I didn't say he is worth it necessarily...I said he is if anyone else is.
