Keeping Murray around would be the worst possible move. If the only way Anderson would stay is if Murray hangs around then I would bid him good luck and bye-bye.

This organization needs a younger, more energetic GM who can do a much better job at assessing NHL talent, not just amateurs.

We also need a coach with actual winning NHL experience - not a GM who won't even let the coach bring in his own staff - a sign of micromanagement at best.

Starting a rebuild with a 70 yr old GM who won't be around to see the results strikes me as a bizarre notion, but unfortunately pretty much what I expect from Melnyk. Murray has some kind of hypnotic hold him.
