Not really. Famine and pestilence has existed since the beginning of our timeline. So has war and earthquakes. Those are all extremely common events. There are, on average, 2,750 earthquakes every day, with maybe 100 being in a large scale of 5.0 and above. Big earthquakes are relative to observing them near populated areas, but they are constantly occurring everyday regardless.
