On the other hand, he was an all-star at the WCs a few times in a very good era for the USSR and CSSR. He's definitely someone I'd like to learn more about.
Yeah I've been trying to dig up more and more info on him but I'm not exactly fluent in the Swedish language.
Everything I've gathered is that he started off as a forward actually and struggled defensively when he moved to the back end. That said it sounds like he improved defensively to the point where he was regarded as being a peer of players such as Suchy, Pospisil, and Ragulin by the time of his death at 28.
