I don't like it when we extend favors to the ill or the needy though. I don't like that all-too-Christian attitude. Maybe sending Fisher out, we'll have players looking forward to a great hockey challenge rather than a bunch of softies trying to be "good guys". I hope Spezza did it because it was so ridiculously easy for him to sign something and not make a story out of it.
So, you would rather our pro athletes not care about the community they live in?
And you think that being a good person outside the rink is a bad thing?
