Apparently the guys simply ripped him to shreds and spared no expense in tearing him down to size. It had a huge impact on him.

This is honestly the intuition I've had since the camp in September, where he was often skating around by himself; would be last to the scrimmage, like "I'm too cool"; and just generally was skating around like he was the ****. From that point on, I've been concerned about his attitude, but this thread has really shed some light on the past year or so - especially KK's interview.
I think that if PW continues to continue work hard, do as he's told, and be a good team player that sticks up for his teammates, he'll be a 2nd pairing defenceman with roughly 2-3 more years at the AHL level. Clearly he'll need that long simply to add enough bulk to his giraffe-like frame.
