I'm not sure about that, but P. K. Subban played almost all of the playoffs last year for Montreal and is still somehow counted as a rookie this year terms of points, he's been the most successful rookie defenseman the Habs have ever had. Was it participating in last season's playoffs that lead to his incredible current season? Who knows.

Given the above, I would not be opposed to having Schenn for the entire playoffs. After all, I do believe Lombardi had a plan when, after the trade deadline, we still had around $4 million in cap space! (I.e., he was intentionally saving room for Schenn!)
