I'm not sure Andrew Gordon stays here for only $500k NHL salary unless you give him a one-way contract. I think he probably likes his odds of making a roster somewhere else better than he does in DC. And as a Group VI UFA, he has the ability to walk.

I love how quickly Caps fans have turned their back on Poti. I know it's been tough with his injury, but he was our best defenseman in the Montreal series last year. Given some proper time off, he could regain that form (or at least be close to it). His salary is a discount for what he was expected to get during this off-season (prior to the injury). I don't know why people are writing him off for next year already.
