He had a +.500 record on a Ranger team last year that finished the season 7 games under .500. Sather traded a two good prospects and a very usefull player to get him. He was the one and only reason this team had a chance for the playoffs. Makes an affordable 3 mill/2 years. We have a more then capable backup who would likely be the first look if Dunham flopped. This team will not trade for Curtis Joseph no less give up value for him like a Lindros although many people believe he's worth nothing, well he's worth something to us despite him being a shell of his former self. He's in his contract year and makes our second line somewhat plausible.
Well, your logic is sound...but you're talking about Rangers management. Since when are they logical?
