It must be a disadvantage if both happened.
I understand that you would prefer one over the other but not both together. It must be better if the bone is not broken at the same time as there is ligament damage.
There has been some confusion if the fibula is broken or not and I would prefer it wasn't due to less complications but that is my own assumption.
