Once Ellis is up the PP should be OK. HIm and Weber will be better than Shea and Suter are as a #1 PP pairing I think. And Blum and Suter are nice for the second unit for sure not a massive drop off.

The forwards will never be ideal but one playmaker changes everything. I don't think the team is in the position to add that guy this offseason but next trade deadline or next summer when Dumont's deal runs out a PP specialist could be had and change everything. You put a guy like Marc Savard on the Preds and he might not be a great fit at even strength or really fill and role that Trotz would want out of him but the PP would be fixed immediately.

Radulov coming back might help. Anyway to give him his money so he doesnt feel handcuffed by the years until he can be a FA? I know he loves Nashville and only bolted because of the dollars. Maybe he can bring a guy like Jagr with him looking for one last crack.

The way Trotz has the team oriented and doesn't play his fourth line a lot they can get a one dimensional PP guy who's nearing 40 and keep him on the fourth line it doesnt have to be a superstar costing a lot of money. The point isnt the problem either, right now Penalty Killers can overload on Shea but that will not always be the case.

I dont think the organization made a mistake getting a guy like Fisher to help them the way they are built currently than getting someone who would be an odd fit but would drastically help the man advantage I think they made the correct move.
