As most of you probably know by now, this new rule for 2011 will directly put the Rangers out of the postseason if Carolina wins tonight. To me, its complete BS that we have 44 wins and Carolina can max out at 41 wins with a win, yet we lose the tiebreaker.

The league has put so much effort into promoting the shootout and making it seem so exciting and great for the regular season, yet they take away its importance when push comes to shove. Either take the shootout out of hockey completely, or let it count as a win. The fact that we havn't clinched a playoff berth because of this "ROW" crap is mind boggling and a huge flaw in the leagues point system. (As if it wasn't bad already).
