it seems to me that the kings (read gilmore) are low-balling hauser because they can. they have a bunch of goalies in the pipeline. BUT none of them is capable of filling in for garon or labarbera if they go down hurt - with the exception of hauser.

what does this say to the guys they have 'in development'? 'we love you, we want you to play for us, we want you to be our guys now & into the future, but we won't pay you more than $60k on the AHL part of your contract. if you don't like it, screw you.'

hauser's done everything they've asked at this level - sit behind hnilicka, sit behind garon. he's earned his shot at the number 1 slot in manchester, and, IMO, he's deserving of all the $$ he can get.

i think he's getting porked.
