I would say stick usage is really a matter of personal preference. I am assuming the floor you would be on would be a typical wooden floor for basketball. On a surface like that, you don't have to worry about stick wear, so you have a lot of options.

The only stick I would say to stay away from (in terms of quality of play) would be the kind with a Mylec-esque replacement blade that doesn't have good stiffness. When you work with those sticks, your shot is distorted by the amount of flex in the blade.
