Salary Commitments as of today.

I see a lot of people quote the salary totals but of course that donesn't reflect all the money that has to be spent on RFAs and empty roster slots. Under the CBA each team must field a roster (23) where each player makes at least the minimum (.45 million). So what I did is take all of the known salary commitments PLUS I inserted .5 million for each unknown player salary and empty roster spot. This gives us a very rough idea of the MINIMUM amout that each club must spend. Here's what I am up with.

(in millions)
$$ TEAM RFA -to be signed yet
38.0 ANA LeClerc, Salei, Chistov (Yikes!!)
36.8 COL Aebischer, Skrastins
34.4 PHI Gagne, K. Johnsson, Esche
33.6 DAL Arnott, Morrow
32.5 NJ Elias, Gomez, V. Kozlov, Friesen, S. Steven (?) Yikes!!!
32.4 DET Datsyuk, Zetterberg
31.7 TOR Berg, Antropov
31.5 CHI Thibault, Bell, Arnason
30.8 LA Frolov, Cammalleri
30.1 OTT Hossa, Spezza, Havlat
29.7 NYR Poti, Rachunek
29.6 CAL Kiprusoff, Reinprecht
29.3 STL Brewer
29.3 VAN Ohlund, Sedins
28.3 NYI DiPietro, Parrish, Kvasha
27.0 EDM Smyth, Torres, Hemsky
25.9 COB
25.5 BOS Thornton, Raycroft, Samsonov
24.6 NAS Legwand, Hartnell, Hamhuis
24.4 MON Koivu, Bulis, Theodore
24.1 TB St. Louis, Boyle, Lecavalier
24.1 CAR Brendly, Vasicek
24.0 PHO
23.0 PIT Lemieux, Morozov, Tarnstrom
22.9 ATL Kovalchuk, Heatley, Sutton
21.7 WAS Halpern, Zubrus
21.6 MIN Bouchard, Zyzuin
21.0 BUF Jillson, Afinogenov, Briere, Hecht
19.8 SJ Marleau, Sturm
17.8 FLA Luongo, Jokinen, Hagman, Bouwmeester, Huselius, Krajicke, Weiss

Looking over this list some teams still have one or two star players to resign. I was REALLY surprised to see FLA with the lowest committments so far, but they have a lot of unsigned RFA to deal with. But the that is not so true of MIN and SJ who are near the cap minimum.

I have a hard time seeing how NJ and ANA will keep all their RFA and stay under the cap (especially if S. Stevens comes back for another year--yes I know that he isn't a RFA but he will probably only sign with NJ)
