There are parts of his game that need improvement, but you're not going to get many agreement from Sens fans that Hossa is poor defensively.

Hossa is one of our better 2-way forwards, being considered very reliable player by Jacques Martin, he of a very defensive minded system. Hossa was only a +4, but that's due to logging a lot of time against the other teams top line. By comparison, Havlat had a +12 rating, but no one, and I mean no one, in Ottawa would consider Havlat the better defensive player.
