One could compare with Victor Hedman (one year older and one year ahead in NHL; much bigger fellow but ok), he got 0.49 PPG in SEL his last year there. His first year in NHL was 0.27 PPG.

Erixon got 0.45 PPG in SEL this season, with the same development he would get 0.25 PPG. That is better than Tanev, Rome, Ballard but trailing Bieksa's 0.33.

In other words, there is a possibility that he might crack the lineup on the bottom pairing.

With that said, Hedman is more talented and one could expect him to develop better. They also got different frames, but both are two ways and did put up similar points in SEL. But the environment with the Swedes at the Canucks (particularly Edler) and the much better organisation in Vancouver compared to Tampa I would say that he could pan out as another nice move by the mastermind Gillis.
However, you have to include that..

Hedman was 17/18 in his last year in the SEL.
Sebastian Erixon was 21 this year in the SEL.
