I am in agreement and to the "stats aren't everything" remark, really? Not to fans for sure but have you seen these awards? 98% of how they are determined are from stats. Only the coaches (and probably GM) awards probably take their stats at 51% consideration. Richard nominees are stupid. Why do they bother? They will even have co-winners if players are tied. I doubt they look at empty nets goals and quality of goals scored. Same with the Art Ross trophy. The NHL war room does not care how poor quality of a team the goalie plays on. Or how impressive the forward rotation is. Only the fans do. Get over it or start an advocacy group for award nomination reform.
