Predictable cycling along the boards

Enough of this cycling along the boards garbage. It hasn't worked in a long time because it is entirely too predictable as it is the only style this team has been forced to play under Tortarella. It isn't effective and it's unbelievably tiresome to watch. I was watching the Buffalo/Philly game last night and their teams are actually capable of carrying the puck into the zone, making good passes and are capable of getting the puck to the net. The grind along the boards and from behind the net philosophy needs to change next year or it will be more of the same frustration as this season.

There needs to some sort of variety in the style of play in order to be effective at adapting to the stifling defense the Rangers have encountered from the Caps in this series.
