Yesterday it seemed like Drury got all his ice time in periods 1 and 2 and he was even throwing his body around. I don't remember him in the third and that keeps with the basic idea of where this thread is going that with the team down two goals Torts had lost faith in him to produce offense.

The Rangers can seriously try to upgrade their team this summer if Drury retires--if he won't retire they can still buy him out and create some cap room though not as much--and it may lead to them buying out other players like Avery or Wolski--though that might be in their plans anyway.

Drury has not been able to bring anything approximating fair value to his $7 + mil contract for the last two seasons. His play has given us no reason to believe that next season will be any different.
