My honest opinion is that everyone knows that he cant compete in the NHL anymore. He can win faceoffs but thats about it. I think he knows he cant play anymore and will try to rehab in the offseason but will discover his body is just to rundown. He will retire and the rangers will gain the 7m in capspace.

Also i do believe that with all the statements during this season of Redden wanting to play back in the NHL or over in Europe, he will be gone too. He has repeatedly stated he is NOT interested in playing in the AHL and that you are not defined by the amount of money you make but by what level of competition you are playing at. I do believe we will lose him too in the offseason.

Something tells me this offseason we will gain back around 13million in capspace, along with being able to rid ourselves of unnecessary players.
