He is 100% ready to play on the 3rd line of most NHL teams right now. Another off-season of training and he will only get better. No need to go back to BC. His stats aren't overly impressive but he will be a very productive NHL player as soon as next season.
Its all up to the coaching staff. Do they want to have him start by playing 10-15 minutes a night or have him play 20+ minutes a night in the AHL. I would say NHL as he will most likely get worn down over a full 82 game season playing 20+ minutes anyways and he is more than physically ready.
