No he didn't. Jones was ALWAYS behind him, and NEVER in a position to deliver a clean check.
Bergeron went in a straight line to the puck and his shoulders turned to play the puck. That was not one of those plays where the guy turns away from contact into the boards as the hit is coming.... not only that, Jones doesn't even bend to begin the motion to hit Bergeron until AFTER Bergeron turned his shoulders to get his stick on the puck.
