That's why we have these discussion boards: To offer one's opinion.
Washington has been displeased with Semin for a long time now: I don't think it would be that far fetched to believe Washington may have inquired about what they would be able to attain for Semin alone.
There are only a minute few in the league who are considered to be "immovable," and the only one I see from Washington's camp that fits that to a T is Ovechkin.
If a team is willing to offer a nice package for either Semin, Backstrom, or Green, why would Washington not want it?
