these kind of surgeries have very high success rates, don't worry about him. This is the best move he could have done.

And you have no freaking clue... He has recurring injuries because he needed the surgery in the first place. The success rate for the kind of surgery he had is phenomenal these days. Without the surgery, he'd likely have re-injured it again many times in his career. With that surgery, there's over 95% chances he'll never re-injure it.
