Rich history in hockey, and great rivalries did not save Winnipeg, nor did it save Quebec. Money talks, BS walks. That's life in today's NHL. And looking financially, Calgary is in way more trouble than any of the southern teams you mentioned. Do you think a Cup win, rich tradition and one of the better rivalries in sport will save the Flames if they go broke?
