If you compare the points per game for Niederreiter and Johansen for each playoff round it is clear that Johansen was better during the last 2 rounds, while Niederreiter was better during the first 2 round:
Niederreiter: 2.5 1.3 0.83 0.8
Johansen: 1.25 1.16 1.3 1.2
Ratio: 2 1.142857 0.6249 0.6

Clearly Johansen was a more consistent than Niederreiter, but this can have any reason (e.g. injury). I would however have an eye on Reciprocal Ratio, as he clearly seems to get better every round!

Actually I think my calculation is worthless, as the sample size is very small. I think there is not much to worry about Niederreiter. At least he seems to have the right attitude [2].

Real nice article on Nino. Kid seems to have his head and heart in the right place. Interesting line from Snow saying that Nino could even be the top pick in this years draft.

I'm looking forward to see what the Isles do with him. Its easy to speculate that he'll be in the NHL next season, but being so young I don't think you can rule out him going back to juniors. Ultimately its up to him and how his off season training translates.

I think the Islanders are finally getting to the point where roster spots are earned and not given.
