This is good news. Bykov brought respectability back to the national team and a string of five straight WC's making the semifinal is certainly a high feat, but it's clearly time for new people. Now that B & Z are gone, I hope the mudslinging (some deserved, some capricious and immature) against them will stop. It's time to focus on the future. Coach Bill looks like a fine candidate. The World Cup experience was a random event and not anything to judge him by. It's a different era now. I doubt there's any beef between him and Kovalchuk anymore.
