I disagree that Poile would look at a move for a first and a prospect(if that's what you're thinking as the '+' ). I think it's foolish to trade Ellis to "restock the cupboard" or whatever. You have nothing forcing you to trade him, if that's the case. A first round pick that may help 5 years down the road doesn't make a whole lot of sense. With the acknowledged problem (as in, out of the mouths of Trotz, Poile and even Weber) being the lack of top six scoring, I think if you're going to move an asset like Ellis, or Josi, or Franson, or Blum...whomever...it needs to be to fill that gap.
