From a NJ perspective, they become a much more rounded team. Yandle is exactly who they need on their defence and he may take another step in his development. Doan is a great leader and consistently elevates his game in big situations. Parise is a great leader, but IMO Doan is a cut above in that department.

From a Phoenix perspective, they are clearly in need a real game-breaking forward. A guy who can consistently keep them in games that they shouldn't be in. Something like Gaborik was for the Wild. Also get a nice piece in Palmieri.

@rt Why? The Coyotes would actually shed cap and I'm pretty sure you could resign Parise if you gave him a good contract offer of 7.2 M or so.
