Try telling the whole story.

At 2:58 of the 2nd period, Cody McCormick wanted to fight Matt Johnson and he pussied out and skated away. The score was only 1-0 Avs at that point and both guys should've fought. Johnson, being the coward he has *always* been, chose to fake dropping the gloves.

So, by the time it was already 4-1 Avs at the end of the second period, Jim Cummins was too smart to go and fight Brad Brown. What if he pussied out like Johnson did? It could cost us another PK situation and a goal against, just like McCormick's situation did. That's the experience factor of a guy like Cummins as opposed to McCormick. When your club is up 4-1, no point in risking dropping the gloves to a team full of absolute wimps.
