IF we could of moved Spacek at the trade deadline(which would of been fine because the Stanley wasn't coming our way), it would of made it easier for Gauthier to sign Wiz which I think he should (smart move for the long term plan).
Why would a contending team take on Spacek's contract for next year? If you were Boston or Vancouver's GM, would you want Spacek's contract hand cuffing you next year and hurting your chances at the cup the next year?

If you were a GM of those teams, would you really trade for Spacek?
