Because Hagelin fits much better into a top 9 role then Grachev does. Pro experience is irrelevant, because Hagelin was at college and couldn't be called up. He's also a year older. If anyone saw him with the Whale, bulking up may help, but Hagelin relies on his shiftiness and speed. He look great in the AHL right from the get go.

BB was spot on, it's mental with Grachev. He needs to continue from where he ended this past season and regain the confidence he had in Brampton. Starting him in the NHL was most definitely stunt his development, since everyone sees and expects him to be a top 6 forward sometime down the line.
