I think McKee, when he's 100% healthy, is more mobile then he is given credit for. He did a nice job, at least at the end of, last season helping in the offensive zone. I'm not against keeping him for one year to see how he holds up in the "new NHL". If there truly is no need for that type of Dman anymore then we can either trade him or use his cap space for another Dman. Besides, by that time Campbell, Paetsch or another prosepct could prove to be ready for the NHL. Denisov, Ezhov or Sekera come to mind. The one thing I wouldn't offer McKee is a long term contract at $2M or more per season. More like $1.5M, which he wouldn't accept.
