The Kings have lacked great players for years and the young players have suffered as a result. I actually agree with the main point you are making. I don't understand the need to sign the Thorntons, McCauleys and Handzus's of the world to 'mentor' the kids about the 'right' way to play. I guess this has always been this franchises' greatest problem, the lack of a culture of success. Don't know any other way of fixing this except drafting great talent, something DL has excelled at.
