Simple to answer.

Thornton, Campbell, Lucic and even the newly tough goon wannabe Bergeron () steadily pounded Ehrhoff, Edler and Bieksa on EVERY shift. That is why they ended up looking like spectators with really good seats on the ice when Marchand was skating around.

And with regard to the Sedin's, they were pounded more than a Pinata at a 10 year old's birthday party in Mexico City. The twins looked like they were ready for the Series to be over....win or lose.

Size is important, but if size is accompanied with a soft attitude, the Bruins showed that it does not matter much.
