Misconception on opposing teams

When we beat the Leafs it was said that they are an overaged team that was caught flat footed. The next game the same Leafs team gets badly outshot by NJ but almost get away with a win (NJ scores tying goal 2 seconds left in game). Then we beat WASH 5:1 and people say they are a team with a weak defense playing their 2nd string goalie. WASH plays in Dallas and outplays them most of the game and their primary goalie Kolzig lets in 4 goals on the first 8 shots being the major reason why they lost 4:2.

The fact is that WASH and TO are fighting to make the playoffs this year, some would even say TO is contending (I am not one of them). Lets give MTL credit where credit is due. They beat these 2 teams, beat them badly. When was the last time MTL beat 2 playoff teams that badly back-to-back??

Lets enjoy it while it lasts.
