1) Not sure if you were aware, but Kilger didn't work out in PHO about 5 years ago, mainly due to lack of effort and them rushing him into action.
2) Nagy is PHO's best offensive player. Kilger & Sundstrom wouldn't come ANYWHERE close to getting that deal done. Kilger is a decent 4th liner, that could probably be had for a 4th round DP, and Sundstrom is a nice PK'ing 3rd liner. PHO already has too many 3rd & 4th liners, and really lacks 1st line offensive talent. Nagy is a cornerstone of the team, and I can't imagiune a realistic deal that included him.
3) None of the d-man that MON would be willing to move are #1 d-man. They guys that might have some value are overpaid (Rivet & Brisebois) which limits their value, especially to a rebuilding team.
