You know....the administrative jobs are usually done by administative assistants.

My guess is that an assistant didn't do his job in the Balck Hawks case and Tallon accepted the responsibility for it (which he should have).

Regardless, I am confident that Tallon learned from that - not lilely to repeat that error - but how many GMs are around that may be (or at least become) available and have proven they can build a Cup winner?

Personally, I think Tallon got railroaded out of Chicago so that Stan Bowman would be handed the GM's job, get his name on the Cup and take credit for what Tallon actually did in building the Black Hawks.

Just my opinion.
