I hope he proves me wrong, but he just seems like a kid that tops out as a third line grinder, and though we definitely need those, I just saw a lot more offense still on the board then this guy.
This basically sums up my feelings about the pick aswell. But, at the same time, as you mentioned, he's a safer pick. There were players available who have the potential to be more impactful, but Danault looks like he'll be a sure fire third line player with potential to surprise.
