From Dobber's Fantasy Prospects Report 2011 :

Olivier Archambault, LW
2010-11 Team: Val díOr (QMJHL)

The Val díOr Foreurs demolished just about every stereotype out there about QMJHL teams during their 2010-11
campaign. Just six Val díOr skaters registered double-digits in goals and allowed only 55 goals more than they
scored while tolling the third-most penalty minutes in the league. Unfortunately, that approach did not work for the
Foreurs in the QMJHL post-season, as they were unceremoniously ousted in four games. But through it all,
sophomore Olivier Archambault was a consistent factor. Second on the club in goals and points during both the
regular season and playoffs, the 5í11 170 lbs winger added plenty of panache and skill despite being one of the
teamís few offensive weapons. A dazzling player below the dots, Archambaultís goals were often of the highlightreel
variety as he used head fakes and quick dekes to fool goalies and defenders alike. On the playmaking side,
Archambault used his reputation as a scorer to pull coverage to his wing before sliding over picture-perfect passes to
his open linemates. At 5í9 and 157 lbs when he was the first overall pick at the 2009 QMJHL Bantam Draft,
Archambault has filled out slightly in the two years since. Strong and agile on his skates thanks to a lower center of
gravity, Archambault possesses good speed but lacks that truly elite gear most successful smaller players have.
Upside: Top-six forward, 25-30-55+
Projected Round: 2nd. Archambault gives a shot of skill to any prospect pool lacking in that department. The
Blackhawks donít traditionally draft from the Q but this is a time they might.
