Andrej Stastny

"If Slovakian forward Andrej Stastny had of suited up for the entire WHL season, he might very well have led the league in rookie scoring. The 6-foot-4, 215-pound centre joined the Vancouver Giants in January, and racked up 30 points on 10 goals and 20 assists in just 32 games. When he is firing on all cylinders, he can be the best player on the ice, as he was when I first saw him put up a hat-trick against the Kamloops Blazers. But, when he isn’t driving to the net and using his big frame to fight for the puck along the boards, he is average at best. Still, there is no questioning his size and potential, as the 19-year-old put up excellent numbers with his club teams in Slovakia, and on the International stage as well. Stastny skates well for a big body, has tremendous vision, good hockey sense, a nice wrist shot, is dependable defensively, and has some very intriguing upside. He has very similar qualities to the Kings Michal Handzus. "

This guy really seems to be worth a look!
